Film Fancier

35mm photography and a smidgeon of everything else

Lots of blues in my Denmarkstagrams.

The glasshouse in Copenhagen’s botanical gardens. We visited on a very grey day, but I imagine in summer it’s GLORIOUS.

We visited the original Carlsberg Brewery in Copenhagen, and they still keep carthorses there. You’re meant to pet them “at your own risk” but they’re CUTE AS.

Art in all its forms at the Danish National Gallery in Copenhagen.

Sunlight in a Dutch kitchen.

Spires in Copenhagen. This church is just round the corner from Christiania, a free-town in the centre of Copenhagen that came about when its residents bought the land off the government last year. Despite being very much subject to Danish law the community lives, to quote one politican, “in a different manner” to the rest of the country… there is a “green light district”, and signs over the entrance informing visitors they are now leaving the EU. At some point I will write a post about my impressions of the place over on my wordier blog.

The British Museum as designed by Norman Foster. One of my favourite buildings in London, I adore his work.

I’ve just developed my second roll with my my new Olympus Stylus Epic and I’m absolutely loving it, but I still haven’t quite mastered the art of selfie.

Amsterdayummmmm.

Amsterdayummmmm.

Amsterdam on the brink of spring… gorggggeous.

I just returned from a trip to Denmark where I took a lot of film which will no doubt take a lot of time to get developed. Here’s a snap from Aarhus, a city with some great outdoor art installations.

We rolling, they hating.

Loving Andrew Mikysys’s Plastic Flowers series. A real Saul Leiter feel. You can see more of his work on his website.

Bedroom corners.
